The wine made from Chasselas grapes is affectionately known as Fendant here in Valais.
Fendant is a dry and mineral white wine with a fresh, lively aroma that is often described as smooth and harmonious.
Fendant is highly valued as an aperitif wine. However, it also goes excellently with cheese specialties such as our Valais classics fondue and raclette.
